Australian facility wins $160m contract to produce parts for EV’s

Nissan’s once-strong Australian manufacturing presence has trumped fierce global competition to win a contract to make key components for electric cars. Nissan will expand its Dandenong South casting facility this year so it can start producing up to 22,000 aluminium parts a month needed to build the power inverter for the Leaf and other electric vehicles the car maker plans to launch.  Read more on what the Sydney Morning Herald has to say.
