Several EV Trial/EV Charging and CRC Bid Partners have come together to initiate, promote and sponsor the Margaret River, best known for its surf spots and wineries, is one of the most popular WA holiday destinations and lies about 270 south of Perth. Our goal is to enable range-limited EVs to travel between Perth and Margaret River by electrifying the road between the two destinations through installing EV charging stations at a maximum distance of 50km of each other. The electric highway is to become a show case of electric charging technology, supporting different standards and providing operator interoperability. The following companies have agreed to sponsor EV charging stations for the Perth-Margaret River Electric Highway:
